Trigonometric Functions
Trigonometric functions relate angles to the ratios of sides in right triangles. Our calculator uses degrees by default. Sin(θ) gives the ratio of opposite to hypotenuse, cos(θ) gives adjacent to hypotenuse, and tan(θ) gives opposite to adjacent.
Logarithmic Functions
Logarithms are the inverse of exponential functions. The natural logarithm (ln) uses base e, while the common logarithm (log) uses base 10. For example, if 10² = 100, then log(100) = 2.
Order of Operations
The calculator follows the standard order of operations (PEMDAS/BODMAS): Parentheses/Brackets, Exponents/Orders, Multiplication and Division (left to right), Addition and Subtraction (left to right).
